Hey! I did a guest post on Problem Solvers’ blog, all about how to make skate board pedal decks for your clipless pedals. I’ve been meaning to do this for years, now, and I’m pleased it’s up now, over on the PS site.
Read the post!
They also made me a brilliant “Certified Problem Solver” graphic, which makes me very proud.
Hey Phil,
Are these permanent on the bike? I assume this makes your clip-less pedals useless though?
Hi Greg,
Nope, they click on and off just like cleated shoes. The cleat on the bottom is the magic part. I made my first pair when I got a second set of Eggbeaters, and moved the old cleats to the decks, and put the new cleats on my shoes.
But by the way, they are wicked cool.
This is an awesome solution to the problem I had with my Shimano pedals. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment. I have a few pairs to list on Etsy, and then I probably won’t make any more.
