I don’t mind trimming them down, and carving a notch, but the mounting lip isn’t wide enough or deep enough to secure the pad. Too bad.

Oh, by the way – I got the proper Yokozuna road pads in my stocking, and the brakes are FAR improved. I may have to apologize to Tektro, but it does irk me that you have to pay a 1/3 more to get decent braking. I mean, what are they, printers? Razors?

Most stock pads/inserts are lacking. Some especially so. I automatically factor in the price of new pads/inserts whenever I purchase brakes.

And at the prices of the Tektros, I can’t complain. I should have just gotten the red pads immediately, and saved myself some irritation. Actually, I should’ve gotten the green anodized frogleggs from that UK eBay store when I saw them…
